TRAFFIC AND ENVIRONMENT



From the point of view of access Kerava enjoys a strategically enviable position for the metropolitan area, with both the Lahti motorway and the main north-south railway line slicing through the town.

It takes only twenty minutes or so to reach Kerava from Helsinki, the capital city, either by car or by suburban electric train. Helsinki-Vantaa airport is likewise only a twenty-minute drive away.

Public transportation

There are many options for public transportation in Kerava. Communal trains are the easiest way to move to the direction of Helsinki in the south or Riihimäki or Lahti in the north. It takes 20-30 minutes to go to Helsinki by train. All the train maps and schedules are on VR Passenger Services.

Several bus lines are also driving between Kerava and Vantaa, Kerava and Helsinki and internally in Kerava. Bus schedules and lines can be found at YTV website.
