Kerava Customer Service Point
The Kerava Customer Service Point is located on the first floor of the Sampola Service Centre, next to the main entrance.
Kerava Customer Service Point is open:
- Monday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon
- On the eves of public holidays and other holidays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Mon–Thu)
The Kerava Customer Service Point is closed at weekends and on public holidays.
Summer 2026 opening hours
From 15 June to 9 August 2026, the Kerava Customer Service Point will be open:
- Mondays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Tuesday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
At the Kerava Customer Service Point
- You can pick up and return forms, applications and other City of Kerava documents.
- You can pay invoices issued by the City of Kerava, the Wellbeing Services County of Vantaa and Kerava, and Kerava Energy.
- You can receive guidance and advice on City of Kerava services and events.
- You can get support in using online services.
- You can buy Kerava-themed products.
- You can register for Kerava Adult Education Centre courses and purchase gift cards for the centre.
- You can buy or top up a smart card for the City-Voimailusali gym operated by the city’s sports services.
Customer computers are also available at the service point for using online services.
Other services
The Kerava Customer Service Point also serves as a Helsinki Region Transport (HSL) service point for matters related to travel cards and public transport. In addition, the service point provides services related to police permit services, the Social Insurance Institution of Finland (Kela), the Wellbeing Services County of Vantaa and Kerava, and the Digital and Population Data Services Agency. You can visit the Kerava Customer Service Point for matters related to your travel card, including:
- getting a new card
- topping up your card
- updating your customer details
- problem situations, such as a lost card or refund applications.
If your matter concerns getting a new travel card or resolving a problem situation, please bring an identity card, passport or driving licence with you. Minors may prove their identity with a Kela card.
At Kerava Customer Service Point, you can pay for a new travel card or top up your card in cash or by debit or credit card.

Service fees at Kerava Customer Service Point:
- Loading a season ticket: €5,06
- Buying a day ticket or single ticket: €1,01
- Loading value onto a travel card: €1,01
- Changes to HSL card details, such as customer group: €8,10
- Maximum service fee: €8,10 per visit per card
No service fee is charged for:
- Customers aged 70 or over, for topping up and/or updating a personal travel card
- Customers with disabilities or functional limitations, for topping up and/or updating a personal travel card
- Updating the customer group on an HSL card for customers whose customer group or discount entitlement cannot be verified in the HSL app, including:
- customers receiving a old age pension, guarantee pension or rehabilitation subsidy paid by Kela
- customers aged 70 or over
- customers with reduced mobility
- students whose discount entitlement cannot be verified through the Finnish National Agency for Education’s My Studyinfo service
- exchange students
- Customers who have a disability or functional limitation that prevents them from using the app
- Invoicing customers, such as customers with a payment commitment from a wellbeing services county
- Corrections of errors made by customer service or a retailer.

The staff at Kerava Customer Service Point provide general guidance on matters related to Kela and can help with online services and, if necessary, booking an appointment. You can also pick up Kela application forms and brochures, and submit Kela applications, attachments and other documents.

You can pick up forms from the Digital and Population Data Services Agency at the Kerava Customer Service Point. The Service Point accepts applications, notifications and attachments addressed to the agency and forwards them to the Digital and Population Data Services Agency. The staff also provide general guidance on matters related to the agency.

Police permit services and lost property
Police staff are available at the Kerava Customer Service Point by appointment to receive passport and identity card applications. If needed, the Service Point staff can help you book an appointment and use the police’s online services for permit matters.

You can apply for a passport, identity card and permits issued by the police online on the police website. The website also provides information about permit matters, fees and the contact details of the police department.
Passports, identity cards, permits
During its opening hours, the Kerava Customer Service Point accepts small lost property items. The Järvenpää Police Station collects these items from the Service Point two to four times a month. You can enquire about lost property at Kerava Customer Service Point and at the Eastern Uusimaa Police Department.

At the Kerava Customer Service Point, you can receive general guidance on matters related to the Wellbeing Services County of Vantaa and Kerava, as well as support with using online services. You can also leave mail and other documents addressed to the wellbeing services county at the city service point to be forwarded. In addition, you can pay invoices issued by the Wellbeing Services County of Vantaa and Kerava at the customer service point.
Chat advice
The Kerava Customer Service Point also provides advice via chat. During opening hours, service advisors answer customers’ questions in the chat whenever the customer service situation allows. When the chat is available, a green chat box appears on the right-hand side of Kerava’s front page and the city service point pages.
