The City of Kerava offers interesting summer jobs and internship opportunities in different sectors. We are also an approved location for the performance of non-military service.
Summer workers
Every year, we offer summer job opportunities in a wide range of tasks and sectors. All our summer jobs are advertised in the spring on the Kuntarekry website.
Summer workers are important to us, and we want to offer opportunities for learning career and professional skills as part of the summer jobs we offer. Summer jobs are also a great way to get to know the City of Kerava as an employer with an eye on possible longer-term job opportunities in the future.
Kesätyö kutsuu summer jobs programme for ages 16–17
The City of Kerava offers summer jobs to about one hundred young people aged 16–17 every year as part of the Kesätyö kutsuu programme.
We want to offer job opportunities in a wide range of positions and in all our sectors. We have employed young people in the city library, landscaping work, daycare centres and the outdoor swimming pool, for example.
Hiring for the Kesätyö kutsuu summer jobs programme takes place at the start of the year from February to April. We announce summer jobs on the Kuntarekry website. Summer jobs for young people last for four weeks usually in June and July. Working hours are six hours a day from Monday to Friday. The pay for summer jobs is 820 euros. After the summer job season, we send out surveys to collect feedback from young people about their experiences. We develop our operations based on the received feedback.
Internships
We offer internships for students and the opportunity to write your thesis about our different fields of activity.
Internships follow the guidelines of the educational institution, financier or labour authorities. Interns, schoolchildren (TET trainees), students and thesis authors are hired directly by the various units of city services, so please inquire about opportunities directly from the sector and unit that interests you.
Non-military service
