Detailed planning

The city’s construction and development is directed by detailed plans drawn up by the city. Detailed plans define the future use of the area, including what is preserved, what can be built, where and how. The plan indicates the locations, sizes and purposes of use of buildings, among other things. A detailed plan may apply to an entire district with residential, commercial and recreational areas or a single plot of land.

The legal part of a detailed plan includes the detailed plan map and the plan notations and regulations. A detailed plan also includes a description of the drafting process of the plan and key features of the plan.

Applying for a review of a detailed plan

The owner or occupant of the plot can apply to have the current detailed plan reviewed. Before applying for a review, please contact the city to discuss whether a review is possible and necessary. At the same time, you can inquire about the cost of the review you are applying for, estimated timetable and other details.
